You’ve heard about WinFS, but what about ProjFS? Our buddy The Walking Cat says Windows Projected File System (ProjFS) may be the same as GVFS (Git Virtual File System) and may somehow figure in the next Win 10 release. (GVFS stands for Git Virtual File System. GVFS virtualizes the file system beneath your git repo so that git and all tools see what appears to be a normal repo, but GVFS only downloads objects as they are needed. ) Sooo… what will this be for (and who will it be for?)
